Assistant General Manger

Essential Functions: Effectively handle and fulfill all owner/guest requests and issues. Maintain a flexible work schedule. Ensure that a member of management is available for emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ensure proper scheduling of all employees and maintain proper scheduling of managers. Recruit, interview, hire and ensure proper training of new employees. Conduct coaching, counseling, and taking disciplinary action as may be needed. Appropriately document accidents and incidents. Ensure safety, OSHA, HazCom, and MSDS compliance in all areas of the resort. Meet or exceed Interval International’s resort rating for a Premier Resort. Meet or exceed RCI ratings for a Gold Crown Resort. Promote positive inter-departmental relationships. Ensure that the resort’s operating costs are within budgetary guidelines and hold department heads responsible for their respective areas. Proactively address any and all issues that could negatively affect overall resort quality. Provide staff with the skills training to provide value-added hospitality services to our owners & guests. Insure timely response to guest comments on their resort experience on Trip Advisor and other OTA sites. Develop and implement strategies to achieve retail sales, upgrades and on-line revenue budgeted goals. Control costs by adhering to standards of operations for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling payroll control and other expense management systems. Perform all other job requests as assigned by the General Manager. Job Specifications: Proficient in Word and Excel. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Minimum of five years experience as a department head (or equivalent) of a hotel or resort. Must have professional appearance. Must have the ability to create and adjust budgets. Computer Access: Internet, Outlook, Cornerstone, MS Office, Manager Plus Pro, Onity and Saflok Systems.
